Wild Country was founded in 1977 by two men named Mark Vallance and Ray Jardine. It is still today, despite the success, run by a small and highly motivated team. Wild country is located in one of the most famous climbing areas in the UK - UK's Peak District. It is important to Wild Country to literally be close to climbing. There they can just go climbing after work and keep up with the development and changes within the sport.
