Hilleberg´s goal with Allak was to create a free-standing, very light tent with all-year usage, with other words a ultralight version of Staika. Allak has the same type of integrated apses and 3-poleconstruction just as Staika, but it is made of ultralight material to save some weigh.
The result is a tent with two apses and two entrances, that only weigh 2.9 kg. The three poles in Allak are crossed on three spots, which makes them stable enough for a 4-season usage in windy as calm conditions.
Even tho Allak is light in its Kerlon 1200 weave it isn´t fully as stable as it´s "Kerlon 1800-cousin" Staika. The very compact design and the free-standing construction makes Allak ideal where it in other cases could be hard to set a tent, like rocky or sandy ground.
And it´s very appropriate to use for a mobile outdoor life, where the tent is set everyday. The cupola-construktion with three crossed poles also makes it stable enough to use in base camp without daily supervision, atleast in moderatly hard weather.
Under two long years of developing work made Allak the certain alternative for those who wants the comfort a free-standing tent gives, with ultralight weigh. When Hilleberg´s test patrol felt unsurtant over what condition they could expect from a trip, they choose Allak. Paddlers loves that it´s easy to set Allak nearly anywhere, while wanderars are attracted of the stability and spaciousness to a really low weigh.
- There is no need for poles when you set the tent with 12 attachments makes it possible to brace the tent properly for a gained stability.
- The ground attachment are located in the six corners of the tents outside and four on the sides.
- Six lines with dubble linestretchers makes it possible to establish the tent for the worst thinkable weathers
- Ultralight material – Kerlon 1200
- outerweave and 9 mm poles – in the construction where three poles are crossed on three places – makes the tent very light but stable, with a good capacity to endure snow-pressure.
- The inside of Allak is roomy with good headroom and steep inner tent walls, thanks to the cupola-construction with three crossed poles.
- Two opposite entrances makes it possible to always have one entrence in cover.
- Allak´s ventilation works in all weathers.
- Two zippered roofventiles made of water repellent weave, that is easy to adjust from the inside of the tent.
- The Zipper regulation offer big veriationpossibilitys in the ventilation, and gives lesser air permeability even in closed stage.
- Both the innertent entrances has a big ventilator mosquito net, that can be closed with a safty flap in the inner tent weave.
