Evo: Time and again Gerber manages to push the bar for innovation in the multi-tool category, the EVO Tool is no exception. Based on knife counterparts, it exudes style and features all outboard components, meaning there?s no need to open handles to access tools. Each component is locking, making these tools among the safest out there. Spring-loaded handles reduce user fatigue during extended use.
Components: needle nose pliers, pinche style wire cutter, saw blade, cross driver, fine edge blade, scissors, small and medium flat drivers, bottle opener, can opener, serrated knife, lanyard
Total length: 15,2 cm Blade length: 10 cm Weight: 291 grams
Evo Jr: Is a folding knife for people who prefer the look of a straight spine; the profile reveals a "seamless" design that begins at the back of the blade and continues along the length of the upper edge of the handle. In fact, the EVO and EVO JR. actually have a little bit of the dagger in them. Another aesthetic design touch is the series of seven slanting oval openings in the anodized aluminum handle. They serve to make these knives both organic and aggressive. Functionally, the oval openings further reduce the overall weight of these knives to near nothingness. The blades are constructed of high carbon stainless steel that is coated with titanium nitride for added corrosion resistance. There's a thumb stud and finger clip for easy one-handed opening. And, there's an integral finger guard for an extra measure of safety. Serrated blade.
Length closed: 11,7 cm Blade length: 6,2 cm Weight: 79 grams |
